The National Skin Centre was incorporated as a subsidiary of the Health Corporation of Singapore Pte Ltd, a government-owned company, on 9 June 1988.
Our mission is to be the national and regional referral centre of excellence for the diagnosis and treatment of skin diseases.
We are committed to provide cost-effective and specialized care of medical skin conditions in a setting of intensive medical research and quality education.
The NSC is a large outpatient specialist dermatological clinic with Consultant Dermatologists who have the experience and expertise to treat complex skin diseases. We also have a number of trainee dermatologists. Our association with the government/restructured hospitals and private hospitals, allow us to hospitalize patients when necessary. About 16,000 patients attend our outpatient clinics per month. (or 850 patients attendances per day).
As a tertiary health care institution, the NSC provides specialized dematological services, train medical students and post graduates, and undertakes research in dermatology.
We conduct Continuing Medical Education for doctors and paramedical personnel. Our researches ensure that patient management is best tailored to local population. |
